Since the 1992 kickoff of this tournament, SWAS has donated over $1,170,000 to programs that benefit girls and women in Delaware.

"Swingin'With a Star", Delaware's most prestigious and profitable amateur women's golf event, began in 1992 at the DuPont Country Club.  Net proceeds from the tournament have allowed SWAS' Executive Committee to donate over One Million Dollars to programs benefiting girls and women in Delaware during the past 18 years.

Our 2010 event benefited Christiana Care's Breast Center and
The Fund For Women in Delaware.

In the past the tournament has also donated to The Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay Council and The March of Dimes.

The Fund for Women - a special and separate endowment, organized as part of the Delaware Community Foundation.  Its mission is to support projects benefiting women and girls in our state.  Thanks to the generosity of our corporate and individual sponsors, total net proceeds donated by SWAS to the Fund for Women in the past 16 years exceed $937,500.

Christiana Care's Breast Center - the area's only facility devoted exclusively to breast care, offering patients complete care, from examinations and mammography through diagnosis and follow-up care. SWAS' contributions of more than $132,500 have been directed to the Breast Center's "Special Needs Fund". This fund helps pay for mammograms and other assistance to lighten the burden for those in need, and ensure that they receive the required ongoing medical care.
